The best time to prepare is before your puppy comes home. The best time to begin training is the day they arrive. Puppies are learning from day one, whether we're intentionally teaching them or not, so having a plan early can make puppyhood much less overwhelming.

That said, don't panic if your puppy is already home or you've gotten off to a rough start. It's never too late to teach new skills, build better habits, and get back on track.

Behavior challenges can be stressful, and possibly dangerous. It's critical to get the appropriate type of treatment, training and care when working behavior cases.
